Fender 62 vintage reissue
The Hum-Cancelling Jazzmasters tend to have a slightly thicker and darker midrange. I can see how a rosewood board could warm things up similar to a strat, however I cannot put a rosewood board on a black tele. Then again i would never want warm and smoky for a neck unless i was playing jazz maybe. Best Humbucker Guitar Pickups:

Serious electric guitar players and collectors clamored for reissues of the original instruments. But both manufacturers, at the time mere cogs in large corporate wheels, all but ignored them. Since being purchased by CBS in , Fender had radically modified the Stratocaster and Telecaster models on which its existence was essentially based. Numerous spin-off models of the Tele were created, though, some of which had the infamous three-bolt neck attachment.
Production from say October to January is sketchy - technically the employees were laid off but some were brought in as temps "off the books" for those last couple of months before the sale of the company. The first model, the "US Vintage Reissue" wasn't really period correct - they were going for the vibe and some of the general features of the vintage guitars like nitro finishes, the old-style steel block trem, and things like that. There were other things, like the 12th fret dot spacing, no bevels on the pickup polepieces, other cosmetic issues with the neck shape being the main accuracy issues.

If you mess too much with nature, you start to lose that character and soul. Older guitar production processes were more natural; newer processes are more technological. So before you even start to take design changes into account, you get a sense as to why a guitar produced using early s standards might have more character and soul than an updated version.
